Kepler Reveals New Robot That Learns on the Job

Kepler Humanoid Robot Company has launched its latest humanoid robot, the Forerunner K2, featuring an AI system that adapts to new tasks without reprogramming.

The San Francisco company plans to release the robot commercially in late 2025.

The K2 uses sensors and LIDAR navigation to work in dark conditions and crowded spaces.

"The Kepler Forerunner K2 is more than just a robot; it's a partner," said Dr. Lila Anders, Chief Robotics Officer at Kepler Humanoid Robot Company.

The robot improves on its K1 predecessor with better mobility and an upgraded AI system that understands verbal and visual commands.

Healthcare and logistics companies have shown early interest in the robot for surgical assistance and warehouse operations.

Kepler will demonstrate the K2's abilities at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

The company will release a toolkit for businesses and researchers to customize the robot's functions.

Pre-orders for the K2 start immediately, though pricing details weren't disclosed.
