1X Technologies’ Ingenious ‘NEO Gamma’: A Promising Future Regarding the Integration of Robotics and Household Dynamics

One of the most notable robotics companies,

1X Technologies, with its current operation in Norway and California, has introduced its recent iteration of their humanoid robot created to cater to domestic areas and designed to perform household chores. By utilizing previous models as the basis of their latest versions. ‘NEO Gamma’ offers heightened abilities to seamlessly provide assistance in daily activities.

‘NEO Gamma’ weighs 30 kilograms and stands at 1.65 meters tall. Designed

with features such as ‘55 degrees of freedom’ and functional, dynamic hands. The

automation’s physical features integrated with soft materials and a nylon suit, which is

3D-printed, enhancing security and aesthetic appeal. Developed with a three-speaker

system that includes four microphones made with beamforming and echo cancellation,

‘NEO Gamma’ aims to provide crystal-clear audio engagements. Its advanced artificial

intelligence (AI) allows it to execute daily tasks such as cleaning, opening doors, and

serving meals.

Recently, in February 2025, 1X Technology disclosed a funding round opportunity costing $100 million along with investors including Samsung and OpenAI.

The investments are for the purpose of scaling the launch of ‘NEO Gamma’ and furthering

its development. 1X Technology also plans to release its progressions of advanced

artificial intelligence (AI) robots by 2027 with hundred-thousands of units. And looking

forward to releasing potentially millions by 2028, with the price ranging in comparison to

a mid-range vehicle.

1X Technologies is currently seeking early ‘NEO Gamma’ owners to merge into

their households for testing and analytics collection. This initiative encourages refining

the robot's capabilities and accelerating its correlation in daily living. 1X Technology

remains innovative; ‘NEO Gamma’ represents a milestone, ensuring opportunities

where humanoid robots provide assistance with everyday tasks, boosting convenience

and quality of life.
