D9 From Pudu Robotics Is A Human-Sized Service Robot
Pudu Robotics on December 19 had just released PUDU D9, the first among Pudu's slate of service robots to be a full-sized walking machine.
The D9 stands at an impressive 170 centimeters tall and weighs 65 kilograms. Its programming allows it to use its robotic arms to carry 20 kilograms' worth of payload and walk up to 2 meters per second.
Moreover, thanks to its advanced programming, the robot can not only use 3D mapping to self-plan routes and navigate complex spaces, but it can handle rough ground and walk up stairs.
The machine features 42 moving joints and Pudu's DH11 robotic hand for precise movements.
"Customer centricity has always been at the core of PUDU's values," said Felix Zhang, founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics.
The D9 follows Pudu's earlier releases this year: the semi-humanoid D7 robot and the DH11 robotic hand.
The company designed the robot to work in human environments while keeping operational noise low.
The D9 uses artificial intelligence to learn and adapt to different work scenarios.
Pudu will start taking pre-orders for the D9 soon through their sales email.
