Unitree Upgrades Industrial Robot to Jump Gaps, Carry Riders

Robotics company Unitree released an upgraded version of its industrial wheel robot B2-W, adding new features like gap-jumping and improved balance.

The robot can now operate on just two of its four wheels while staying stable, according to a demonstration video released by the company.

The B2-W "Talent Awakening" model comes one year after the original version hit the market.

Unitree designed the robot to carry human passengers, aiming for uses in logistics, maintenance, and security work.

The machine's ability to handle rough terrain shows how industrial robots keep getting more capable.

This development suggests future robots might work more closely with humans in various industries.
